What is a herbal bath?
It is an ancient practice with medicinal, physical & spiritual benefits. Some call it a herbal tea/bath because it is simply just like making a nice cup of tea. With tea making, you steep a tea bag in a cup (or teapot) of boiling water.
A herbal bath is similar, you add herbs into hot bath water, let it infuse together, then you get a wonderful herbal bath that not only helps the body with stiffness or aches but it can also relieve the mind of stress.

Depending on the herbs that you use, and the intention of the herbal bath – you can achieve safe and long tasting benefits. There are millions of herbs available to choose from, and others are easy to grow in a pot plant. Or you can buy them.

Lavender is soothing and calming, it is used to fight sleeplessness and anxiety.
This is why it is such a great inclusion into any self-care ritual. The herb will help the mind to release all forms of unease and induce sleepiness for a restful night. Say goodbye to insomnia!!
I have a small pot plant of lavender and have been planning to harvest it, to use on my facial homemade creams. The lavender must be harvested before the petals open and become flowers – unfortunately most of my lavender had become flowers.

I only had a small batch (on an already small harvest😊) of harvest ready lavender. I have left it to dry and will use it later.

I then made the herbal bath from the lavender that was not suitable for harvesting.
The herbs can be so messy in the bathtub, therefore, you can use a sachet (like below) and run it under the tap.
